The Ground Breaking Ceremony was held on November 30, 2022.

On October 25, 2022, the City Council approved the use of a 3800 sqft city owned lot as the sight of a new Bridge Housing Project known as the Bridge of Hope Community Housing. It is located at 131st ST, and Simms Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250. It sits on the boarder of Hawthorne, backed by a 15 foot storm drain wash and is surrounded by commercial businesses.
