The City of Hawthorne held a celebration to unveil its new FIFA-themed mural. The event took place on June 9th, 2026. 

The mural, created by the team at Empire Arts, is approximately 60 ft wide and 7 feet high and celebrates Hawthorne's identity and global connection to FIFA activities. The mural is located at 11201 S. Firmona Avenue.
