The City of Hawthorne held a groundbreaking ceremony at Eucalyptus Park. The event took place on April 28th, 2026.

The event was held to celebrate the start of construction on several major improvements to the park, including a new playground, sports field, water fountains, barbecue grills, and more. It is planned to be ready by the Fall of 2026.
