The City of Hawthorne held it's 3rd annual Touch a Truck. The event took place on October 11th, 2025 in the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center parking lot. 

Several vehicles were on location, including construction, city maintenance, Hawthorne police, and many more. Attendees were able to go inside and interact with their favorite vehicles. Additionally, the event aimed at promoting literacy, as the Hawthorne Library was there to hand out free books.
