The City of Hawthorne held a Council Meeting on March 24th, 2026. 

During the meeting, CVUHSD Board President Hugo Rojas, and Superintendent Stephen Nellman presented City Council with a Certificate of Appreciation. Additionally, City Council announced a Proclamation declaring April as Fair Housing Month. 

Lastly, Councilmember Katrina Manning presented a Certificate of Recognition to the Hawthorne Media Department. In attendance were Senior Video Specialist Brandon Pratt, Senior Video Specialist Luie Godinez, Reporter Jason Reynoso, Cable TV Coordinator Erick Chavez, and Producer Sam Vargas.
