The City Council gave a proclamation to Youth Hope for their Youth Homeless Outreach Prevention and Education. The group was recognized for their work in helping youth who are aged out of the system.

The City of Hawthorne proclaimed November as Youth Hope Month to bring awareness to youth who run away or are facing youth homelessness.
