Dayna Williams-Hunter is a dedicated public servant and community advocate, proudly serving as Hawthorne, California's first African-American City Clerk. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Dayna spent her formative years in Los Angeles, where she graduated from Susan Dorsey High School. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in education, which have equipped her with the skills to effectively serve her community.

Dayna's professional journey took her to Ohio, where she made significant contributions at WEWS-NewsChannel 5, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2010, she returned to Los Angeles and launched successful PR and concierge beauty businesses, catering to a diverse clientele that includes celebrities, authors, and professional athletes.

As a proud member of "She Leads Tech," Dayna developed an interest in flying drones, earning her Remote Pilot's License in 2020. Her commitment to innovation is evident in her work as City Clerk, where she has been instrumental in implementing technology initiatives, including the migration to new software for improved public record requests and agenda creation. She has also spearheaded efforts to integrate AI technologies, enhancing communication and promoting sustainability by reducing paper usage in council meetings. Beyond her professional achievements,
