It is important that your application include all relevant experience, training and education you possess.  Those candidates selected meeting the needs of the City will be invited to continue in the selection process.  Depending on the positions the selection process may include one or more of the following:  written exam/test, performance test, and/or oral panel interview examination.

TIPS:

  • Ensure you have an email account such as Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc. as communication is conducted via email.
  • Have all your document attachments (i.e. diplomas; degrees; DD214) ready in PDF format to include with your application.  If submitting educational transcripts, ensure that they state the date your degree was conferred, are of study and type of degree.  Keep attachments below 14 MB. Failure to submit required documents will deem your application incomplete.  In additions to receive Veterans Credit your DD214 must be submitted at time of filing.
  • Have your employment history details ready for the application experience section for the past 10 years.  Resume may be attached, but do not substitute the employment application and will not be evaluated for required minimum requirements to file.  List any periods of unemployment on the employment application form or attach a separate sheet in PDF format.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.  If the recruitment requires a supplemental questionnaire this must be completed at time of filing as well as otherwise your application will be rejected.
  • Print a copy of job bulletin for future reference and in preparation for the selection process.
  • We encourage you to inform our Human Resources team at least two (2) business days prior to the first phase of the selection process of any disability accommodation as required.
