Fair Housing Workshop
Hawthorne, CA - The Fair Housing Foundation will be holding a Fair Housing Fundamentals Workshop at the Hawthorne Memorial Center-Venus Room located at 3901 W. El Segundo Blvd. Hawthorne, CA 90250 from 2:00 PM to 3:30PM on April 15, 2026, for the city of Hawthorne. This workshop is free and open to the public. Attendees will learn about protections under fair housing laws, as well as the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords and how to address tenant-landlord disputes. We will discuss disability rights, reasonable accommodations & modifications, housing needs of seniors & veterans, harassment, retaliation, eviction and much more!
Join us in celebrating Fair Housing Month! We're excited to host our Annual Poser Contest and encourage our youth to participate. Poster Contest deadline: April 6, 2026. Posters can be submitted through our website, where you can also register for the Celebration on April 14, 2026, at 1:30pm via Microsoft Teams. Join us for special speakers, raffles, and the announcement of the poster contest winners. We hope to see you there!
FHF encourages community organizations, service providers, and local partners to share this announcement widely so residents can access valuable information and support. FHF services residents of the city through the Community Development Block Grants. We educate the public about Fair Housing rights and responsibilities through workshops, trainings, and community events. FHF provides mediation, walk-in clinics, counseling services and investigates issues of discrimination related to housing through our housing assistance hotline 1-800-446-FAIR (3247).
