HAWTHORNE, Calif., May 12, 2026 – The City of Hawthorne launched its new farmers market on Sunday, April 19, drawing hundreds of residents and local businesses. Following a strong initial turnout, the City expanded the event for its third weekend on May 3 by featuring live entertainment and a wider selection of booths. The market will take place every Sunday at the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The farmers market has brought a wonderful energy to Hawthorne, creating a space where neighbors can connect while supporting local businesses,” said Farmer Market Operator. “Seeing families enjoy the live music and residents engaging with local artisans is exactly the kind of community experience we strive to provide.”

The April 19 debut featured a diverse array of fresh produce, artisanal foods and handmade goods in the heart of Hawthorne. The April 26 market introduced several new vendors, broadening the selection of farm-to-table options and unique products. The May 3 market also featured live music, elevating the atmosphere and establishing the gathering as a community hub.

The City is actively working to welcome even more local growers and small businesses to the market in the coming weeks, ensuring an evolving lineup of fresh goods for the community. If you are an interested vendor, the City encourages you to apply at LocalLaFarmersMarkets.com/vendors. Questions may be directed to Locallafm@gmail.com.
