HAWTHORNE, Calif., March 17, 2026 – The City of Hawthorne is proud to announce its upcoming Annual Spring Event, Earth Day and Service Provider Fair. This community gathering will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Park (3901 W. El Segundo Blvd, Hawthorne, CA 90250).
The event brings together hundreds of families and local businesses from Hawthorne and surrounding South Bay for a day of celebration and community enrichment. Designed to connect residents with vital resources while celebrating the season, the event offers a wide array of activities, including traditional egg hunts, carnival games, inflatables and raffles.
“This event is a cornerstone of our community outreach, blending seasonal fun with essential advocacy for health, safety and the environment,” said Kywanna Bowie, Deputy Director of Community Services. “Our goal is to create a space where families can enjoy a beautiful day at the park while gaining access to the tools and information they need to thrive. From the excitement of the egg hunts to the practical benefits of the Service Provider Fair, there is truly something for everyone.”
The Service Provider Fair portion of the day serves as a hub for educational resources. Attendees can engage with organizations focused on public health, safety and civic engagement. In honor of Earth Day, the event will also feature a strong emphasis on environmental awareness, providing residents with on-site opportunities for responsible disposal through paper shredding and e-waste collection services.
In addition to the resource booths, the celebration will highlight local musical talent. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment by local performers while exploring various food truck options offering a taste of Hawthorne’s culinary scene. Door prizes and giveaways will be distributed throughout the day, ensuring a rewarding experience for participants of all ages.
