HAWTHORNE, Calif., February 18, 2026 – The City of Hawthorne wrapped up its first-ever Hawthorne Eats Restaurant Week at the end of January. The week showcased the City’s local dining scene, culminating in the vibrant Hawthorne Street Eats Fair, bringing together food trucks, local vendors and micro-businesses for a lively, family-friendly celebration.

Running from January 25 through January 31, Hawthorne Eats showcased the City’s diverse culinary options and locally owned businesses. The week highlighted both longtime Hawthorne staples and newer local favorites, including Pizza Show, Mi Zacatecas Restaurant, Soft Cafe and more. Participating restaurants offered exclusive Hawthorne Eats specials, with many featuring $10 promotional meals and discounts. These offers gave residents and visitors an accessible way to explore neighborhood favorites while supporting local businesses.

Throughout the week, the City visited participating locations to spotlight each restaurant’s unique offerings and share the stories behind Hawthorne’s small business community, helping increase awareness and community engagement at local eateries.

“Hawthorne Eats was about more than food — it was about community,” said City Manager Vontray Norris. “Seeing residents show up for our local businesses, connect with restaurant owners and celebrate together was incredibly meaningful. This is exactly what being a good neighbor looks like.”

The City extends its sincere thanks to every participating restaurant, food truck, micro-business vendor and community member who helped make Hawthorne Eats a success. The enthusiasm and support demonstrated throughout the week underscored the importance of investing in local businesses and strengthening community connections.

With its inaugural year complete, the City of Hawthorne looks forward to building on the success of Hawthorne Eats and continuing to create opportunities that celebrate local culture, commerce and community.
